This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
These videos have demonstrated well that the teacher's attitude effects the whole lesson and the students understanding. In the first video, the teacher was rude, not explaining anything properly and seemed generally uninterested in being there at all. The first video was very hard to watch because I believe the students felt very discouraged. They didn't want to participate especially because the teacher kept repeating how easy it is, even though it was clear no one was understanding the concept. In the second video, the teacher greeted the students, and started off with an engage stage to introduce everyone, and introduce the topic of the lesson. I feel this had such a strong impact on the lesson. The teacher was energetic, understanding, and seemed happy to be there which made the students enjoy the lesson and want to participate and learn.
