This unit covered with greater depth the other foundational skills needed when learning a new language, (productive skills). Though these skills can differ from one another greatly their similarities can be found when considering their function, both are used to communicate information. For a number of reasons getting students to communicate and or practice doing such in a classroom setting can be a difficult task though. The focus of this unit therefore aimed to reveal helpful techniques which inspire desire and create the need for students to have to communicate. These techniques vary from controlled, guided to creative communication methods such as games like hangman and others alike which demand the students attention and elicits those productive skills.
