The past tenses is what I have learned about in unit 6. In the past simple form we usually add -ed or -d to the base form of the verb in affirmative form and it is used for actions comleted at a definite time in the past. The past continuous affirmative form is subject + was/were + verb + -ing and we use this form to describe interupted past actions, in descriptions and to expresse an action which began before that time and probably continued after. The past perfect affirmative form is subject + har+ past article and it represent actions that occured before other actions in the past. The past perfect continuous affirmative form is subject + had+ been + verb+ ing. We use past perfect continuous to talk about longer actions or situations in the past that had been going on continuously up to the past moment that we are thinking about. I feel I have learned a lot about tenses during this unit and the unit regarding present tenses. I feel that I am starting to see the pattern and is looking forward to learn about the future tense.
