This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Within this unit, first, 'conditionals' are discussed and described as having a sentence structure consisting of 2 clauses, one being a condition or action that results in some consequence of the first action (or condition), thus forming a second or main clause. Several sentence and verb forms may occur depending upon whether an event is true or whether it may not actually present the possibility of happening as in a hypothetical situation. We are presented with 4 different 'conditional' forms and usage of each. Several example activities are then presented for teaching 'conditional' concepts.
We are then given information related to 'Direct' and 'Reported' speech, how to transform one to the other. Then, depending upon the particular conversation and time reference, the author(s) inform us of the proper verb form(s) and accompanying language that accompanies conversion from Direct speech to a Reported speech form.
