In this unit, I learned the importance of teachers evaluating te students English.It is to determine their level and ability, to check which aspect they need to be improved and to give focus into and to know the progress of their English learnings. External examination like TOEIC, IELTS and TOEFL are being taken by the students for studies and future employment. It will be easy for the learners to move to other countries and will make them confident and ahead of others and have greater edge of admission in universities and be selected by employers.I felt that this unit was very helpful and interesting. Learning about the different types of methodologies and in particular the ESA method was very beneficial. It was nice to learn the basic outline of a lesson plan and I am glad that it was pointed out when an appropriate time to make a correction is. Corrections should not be immediate and teacher correction is the last resort in most instances which made good sense to me. 3 of the methodologies I found most interesting were Suggestopaedia, Audio-lingualism, and Communicative Language Teaching.
