This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I found this unit the most difficult to understand. A lot of the tenses shown on this unit is barely used in everyday conversations. Future simple and \"be going + infinite\" is very tricky. I too found it difficult to differentiate especially if I was just being exposed to these future tenses for the first time. The games and methods used to teach students about these tenses were very helpful. I really like the \"diary\" method. I think it builds creativity for both the teacher and the student. This lesson covers the least taught skill taught to students who are learning language which is pronunciation and phonology. Native English speakers take the subtleties of language for granted, and because teaching this aspect of language can be difficult for a teacher who likely does not fully understand this aspect of their own language, this unit is very helpful to be aware of. The phonetic script and importance of stress in certain situations were valuable aspects of this lesson which I learned.
