In Unit 3 I learned a lot about the development of methods and techniques in respect to teaching English. I particularly appreciated the ideas shared for each phase of the ESA method. As a new teacher I wanted to learn how to engage students, teach them new concepts, and correct them when necessary. This unit did a really good job giving examples of each phase and explaining the teachers role during the phase. In my limited experience I have always wondered when it is appropriate to correct a student. I now have a much better understanding.He unit presented a lot of new and useful information for me. In a simple way there were pointed out the structures of different kinds of lessons. There were given good explanations and examples. There were also given ideas what can teacher do during each phase of the lesson. There are a lot of good suggestions! As for me, I gained a lot of ideas for eliciting and engaging students during my lessons! And there was also presented information about correcting students. There was pointed out the difference between a mistake and an error. Thank you!
