This introductory unit lays out a pretty simple and straightforward framework to clarify the various roles of a teacher. Listing the various dynamics a teacher needs to competently transition between throughout class certainly helps me envision my own actions in more concrete scenarios thru this lens. I'll be referring back to these dynamics while moving forwards in the course to help me build a more complete mental image of how and when, and thru which role, to teach X,Y... topics.
The good learner section is certainly preparatory but I'm not entirely clear on what to do with this information. It seems likely that you'll receive a class of individuals who more or less fit with these qualities. It's helpful to have a rubric to evaluate them initially but I would appreciate info on what steps to take given this knowledge. Thanks very much for extracting feedback from us.
