This unit went over classroom management, including ideal teacher behavior, how to arrange a classroom, the pros and cons of various groupings and discipline. Some important things that were included in this unit were how to minimize the time the teacher spends talking, and how to be most effective while communicating to students. Some other things that I learned were how best to discipline students without disrupting lessons and how to maintain classroom cohesion through building rapport with students.Unit 16 touched on more English grammar, specifically conditionals and reported speech. The majority of native English speakers do not learn about these two aspects of grammar in school but rather from listening to others speak when they were a child initially learning the language. Reading through the unit and examining the rules behind how we say different conditionals and the tense shift in reported speech is beneficial to fully understanding and being able to communicate the subject to our students.
