In this teaching and learning unit, it outlined the four major groups of learning and behavior theories: muturation, environmental, constructivism and cognitive developmentalists. I did a research on Piaget's stages of child development, where they group the child into four different groups: Formal operational (12 years - adult), concrete operational (7-12 years), Preoperational (2-6 years), and Sensorimotor (0-2 years).
I learnt the term referred to Maturation and how child's age reflect what they like and dislike; such as group 1 (age 5-9 years ) likes singing/dancing/shouting, doing, listening to story's etc and where as group 2 (9-13 years) almost dislike those but likes games/activities, social media, tv/films, thinking etc. A teacher should adapt the class as to what that age students like, to gain the most benefit by getting students full attention in class.
