I found this unit very informative as I recognized many of the methods mentioned and reflected back at how many of these methods I use today but did not have a name for it. It has been my experience that any student will feel engaged and motivated to learn if the teacher utilizes a multitude of methods and can recognize that not all students learn the same way. A good teacher will see this and adjust each lesson (however slightly), to accommodate each students learning pattern.I enjoyed getting the percentages of certainty for some of the modal verbs. I never really think of them with specific percentages, but I really enjoyed getting to see the numbers. My only memory of learning passive voice, was always being told by english teachers to not use it when writing a story or working on a website. They would say 'use active voice\". So I liked learning passive and active voice again here in this context. Just looking at how it functions in language.
