The unit covers the most common problem situations that a teacher may encounter. It gives useful suggestions about the very first class and how a teacher can control the classroom. It also refers back to Receptive Skills Unit where listening skills are presented clearly. It summarizes the warm up activities for different type of classess such as students with different levels, students using the same native language. This unit is quite nice as it gave me a whole idea of teaching different groups.In this section an overview and analysis of the existing methodologies in teaching English is followed by an in depth presentation of the ESA method, the method suggested to new teachers of English. I have learnt what ESA consists in, which are the three stages it counts and how they be combined. An exhaustive list of activities suitable to every stage is presented followed by a section dedicated to correction (when and how to correct) where a clear distinction between mistakes and errors is made.
