This unit showed the differences between a well taught, and thought out lesson and a badly taught lesson. I learned how a teacher's attitude can effect students and all interactions between the student and teacher. I also learned that no matter what level the students are in their language learning, that you should not assume they know all of what you are trying to teach them already. you still need to explain the concept for the lesson and give good directions for the activities they will be doing.Like past units on tenses, this one gave me a newfound appreciation of the complexity of the English language and how difficult it must be for someone learning it. To have seven ways of stating the future in English contrasts with many other languages which have a more basic, minimal way of expressing this. To be quite honest, despite studying this unit, I still don't feel fully prepared in teaching the future tenses to beginning students. It obviously takes time and practice to master this subject.
