The unit also discussed course books, its advantages and disadvantages. It shared the best use of the course book and selecting what is most suitable for your students. It discussed what to omit, replace, supplement or adapt from a course book and how to analyze to ensure you've selected the most appropriate one.This lesson gives us some insight into the balance between hearing/listening & reading. In addition the lesson also shows us how this balance can be achieved through various approaches to lesson plans. Confidence is a big key in getting students off the fence and engaging in classroom learning. Using current events & famous people whom the students may have some history with can also get them talking, but mixing it up will improve your chances of more students participating.
