This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covered potential issues that a teacher could face in the classroom when trying to teach. These issues can be based on class size, differences in ability between students, and many other factors. It is important for a teacher to be able to recognize when students may be having difficulties in the class and adjust to best help those students. When dealing with a large class it may be impossible to tailor the lessons to match every students' needs, but the teacher should strive to help as many as possible. A teacher should know some potential courses of action for dealing with students that are falling behind, those that cause disruptions in the class, and many other potential sources of issues in the classroom. However, it is impossible to foresee every potential issue so a teacher needs to be flexible and fair when dealing with issues.
