This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covered the use of teaching aids in the classroom. Teaching aids can really enhance a lesson and make it more alive and interesting. White boards and in particular interactive white boards are a great tool in the classroom, though one should familiarize oneself with the system before one actually starts using it. Likewise, overhead projectors are also a great way of presenting materials as one can prepare the material in advance. Also, when one uses the whiteboards one should plan ahead what information will go on which side of the board, etc. Videos, either DVDs or short videos from youtube are also great ways to expose students to the English language and practice their listening skills. Videos are also great motivational tools. Otherwise, visual aids and other classbooks with activities are also great devices for the classroom.
