This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit Six primary topic is the past tense system used in the English language. In one of the previous units, it discussed the present tense system so now unit six follows by covering the past. There are many similarities when comparing the present and past systems. For example, all perfect sentences in present and past tense have the verb 'to have' in it. And all continuous sentences in present and past tense have the verb 'to be'. Therefore, it's a helpful thing to remember all these little tips, which I had not realized until reading this unit. The one thing teachers should cover well and throughly with their students is the fact that there are many common verbs that have irregular conjugations when put into past tense. Unfortunately, there are no rules for these verbs therefore the students must be taught to memorize them.
