This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit provided a brief explanation of many different teaching aids that could be available in the classroom and how to use them most effectively, or be prepared to do so. It brought up some good preparation points, that you should test everything before using it on the actual day of the lesson. It also suggested that when using electronic aids, to always have a back up plan. What I found most useful about this lesson were the links at the end. There were so many links for help for lesson planning, and additional aids such as newspaper articles and audio recordings that I could use in the classroom as authentic materials to encourage and excite students more to learn English. It also had a great number of resources such as easy to understand dictionary links and podcasts that I am excited to recommend to future students.
