This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This section covered the present tense. Simple present, present continuous, and present perfect forms were all briefly outlined and explained. With each tense, the reasoning for using that specific form was discussed to the reader. For me, this section was a bit overwhelming, not necessarily because the subject matter was too difficult to grasp, but more so because it helped me realize that learning English as a second language must be an extremely tough feat. For me remembering the ins and outs of the English language is hard, I’m at the point where I no longer have to think about tenses or sentence structure. But for those who don’t have what I have engrained in my brain, learning this language must be very difficult. This section I think gave me even more respect for my future students than I already had.
