This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit two gave a brief but comprehensive grammar lesson that I found enlightening. I actually have taught English before but still did not know a lot of this material. For example, I learned that the reason we say \"more beautiful\" instead of \"beautifuler\" is due to the number of syllables in beautiful being 3 or more. I also learned that a gerund is more than just an \"-ing\" verb, but it is the \"-ing\" form of a verb that acts as a noun. Therefore a gerund is called a gerund due to the way it is used, as opposed to the past participle form of a verb. Being a native English speaker and having experience teaching conversational English has made this unit very enlightening for me. The presentation was clear and brought together many gaps in explanations for why certain phrases sound better than others in English.
