This unit focused on teaching vocabulary, grammar and language functions. I was able to learn what factors should usually be considered when selecting vocabulary items to be taught to students, what the students need to know about vocabulary items and ideas for the engage, study and activate stages of teaching vocabulary. Then I learnt that when introducing grammatical structures students need to know what the language means, how to use it, forms and patterns of the language and how to pronounce and spell it, followed by a sample ESA grammar lesson. Lastly, the unit covered how to teach language functions such as inviting, suggesting, agreeing, refusing etc and a ESA lesson example for it.
