This unit iterated the practice of maintaining student discipline whilst creating an effective classroom environment beneficial to learning. Reviewing the content has made me realise how these practices have been incorporated into my education for as long as I can remember; as a current full-time student, I can see how this is integrated with my daily classroom life and also how I was taught throughout high school: for example, horseshoe arrangements for seminars and rows for lectures. It was also comforting to read how to discipline children effectively within a classroom; having experience with childcare as a whole, I'm happy to know that disciplining within a classroom isn't completely different which definitely improves my confidence.
