Course material can be a very useful aid in teaching a class. Course material can consist of: authentic material, created material, and coursebooks. Authentic material can be described as anything a native speaker would hear or read. This will instill confidence in the learner. Created materials are designed by the teacher to supplement the coursebook. Created materials can consist of word games, pictures, etc, and they can be graded to the level of the student. A coursebook offers effective teaching material, but may also be a rigid and non specific way of teaching. A combination of all of these materials seems best.
