This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Planning has never really been my strong suite. I usually end up being very last minute and spontaneous, however, it is not possible with teaching. Teaching is critical to plan on every lesson and he future ones to come. As a teacher, it is important to stay ahead of the game and be prepared with material to keep the class preoccupied for the entire lesson. Planning a lesson is also important to keep a record of the class and progress. It is good to remember and keep the lesson plan simple, have an obvious and achievable objective, and stay organized. It was very nice to have a reference lesson plan given and blank sheets provided to reference to. I will be using this for my future classes and hope I can improve on my lesson planning skills.
