Before giving a lesson, the teacher must ask what do they want the students to learn and why. The teacher then needs to think about what the students need to be able to grasp the lesson and preteach certain grammar or vocabulary points. For Speaking and writing, a straight arrow approach can be used. First the teacher will get the students attention and get them brainstorming. Then the teacher can go over what the lesson is about and check to make sure the student understand. Then, in the activate stage, the student should be able to put into practice what he or she has learned from the lesson. Games are okay in everyday lessons as long as they help the students grasp understanding and has a set of rules. It needs to contain the lesson point but it can be something fun to keep a student interested in the lesson.
