This was an intense overview of a couple of very difficult subjects: The Conditional, Reported, and Direct Speech. Sometimes it can be difficult for native speakers to explain WHY and HOW we change tenses during conditional clauses, but this unit simplified everything for teachers. I think that, like many other units, the most valuable part of the lesson was the teaching ideas in which I will most definitely employ the \"Complete the Conditional\" game, where I will split sentences into two pieces and give them to classmates and instruct them to find their classmate with whom the sentences complete each other. Great ideas in this chapter on that front, as well as the explanation on the differences between Reported and Direct Speech.
