Well, we?ve reached the end of the road. Do I feel ready to go to China and teach a class? Nope. Have I done most of the work I need to get certified to do exactly that? Yep. This doesn?t give me a lot of confidence in being an English teacher, but I guess I?ll roll with it. English teachers in other countries have the reputation of being too stupid to get by in their country of origin. Like washed up Americans with no marketable skills but their ability to speak the English language. Or even worse - random white people who don?t even speak English as a first language! What a messed up phenomenon. I?m disgusted by it but also excited to become a part of it.
