This unit gives a brief overview of the productive skills i.e., speaking and writing, and notes that the two are different, however they are tools used to communicate. This unit states that writing is a skilled that is usually relegated to homework, which is not always done by the learner, and this causes the writing skill to not be developed as much as the speaking skill. Learner are most interested in speaking than writing, because if they cannot communicate verbally, there is much more difficulty on thriving in the world, as opposed to writing. This units gives a host of techniques, games, and resources to be applied throughout the learners day. These activities all relate to the various stages ESA model.
