Here I've learnt the actual general methodology of teaching when standing in front of students. These are more like general guidelines than \"do-like-a-robot\" type of things. At the start of the article examples of various teaching methods were discussed and described (pros/cons) - however one of which (Engage-Study-Activate) was given extra emphasis and is claimed to be well rounded and balanced all around. Then, each stage of the 3 was elaborated much - ideas of activities to fill up a lesson such as: for the engage stage: word games, tongue twisters, Pictionary, other general \"warm-up\" light activities with the idea to have everyone participate and speak at least a little bit. Study: the \"heavier\" part of the lesson consisting bulk of the new material introduced to the students. Teacher talk time is either higher here when introducing the subject or worksheets are given to students in order to repeat and practice what has been taught. Activate: Students use their newly acquired knowledge practically - e.g. role-play games, communicative activities/debates. Emphasis on fluency and language use more than total accuracy.
