In-service training

Developmental training given to staff whilst they are working. More commonly known nowadays as professional development, or PD. Staff are typically required to undertake a set number of PD days throughout their contracted year. Time is often also set aside for “whole school PD days” in many state and private schools. Less emphasis is paid to this in private language school situations.
