Etiquette Latin America

Teaching English abroad is a great way to travel the world and experience other peoples and cultures. As English teachers it is important that we take the time to learn about the countries we choose to live and work in not only to show respect to our hosts but also to help our students to learn more productively. Understanding the cultural or social reasons behind why people in different countries behave or react in particular ways can help us to prepare better lessons and activities for our students and develop better relationships with our colleagues. Being aware of the subtle social cues that exist in any society can mean the difference between a truly rewarding experience and one that you wish never to repeat. When considering regions such as Latin America it can be tempting to assume that there is little difference between neighbouring countries, however, each nation and its people are unique and have a number of differences any new arrival should be aware of. Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I think the teachers should to be kind, passionate, and dedicate to the development of the students learning. Being a good teacher is to pay attention to the students, is to see the mistake and problems and correct them right away. the teacher and the student should have a reciprocal feedback.I enjoyed this unit very much. I liked having more of a teaching of business english than just teaching english. I also liked the idea of taking simple boardgames and turning them into english games to help students practice a new skill with a partner or a group of friends. Favorite unit so far!Long time ago i had to do with Verbs, Nouns and Adjectives feels really good to freshing up my old school stuff. It was really intresting how much i already have forgotten but thankfully it was really great to read everything. I have learned how to put the right advers in sentence as adjectives.
