In this unit, I learned about modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. For instance, the modal verb \"may\" is used for polite request, less than 50% certainty, and formal permission. Also, in the active voice, the focus is on the agent, whereas with a passive voice, the agent is less important.Unit six covered the different tenses of the past. Past simple can be used when a specific time is given or when a time is asked about. Past continuous is used for interrupted past actions. Also it is used without a time or expression and indicates gradual development that took place in the past.This unit teaches the use of the 4 present tenses, the present simple, present perfect, present continuous and present perfect continuous. These are made up of a positive, a negative and question form. Furthermore we've been taught the usages, as well as typical student errors and teaching ideas.
