Different beginners are the absolute, false, adult, young and beginners without the Roman alphabet. Beginners have to be taught using special skills and psychology, knowing students needs, having clear and realistic aims, giving clear simple instructions, being visual as possible, being careful with board work, adapting to various situations, controlling your language, pacing the lessons, using choral repetitions, pairing/grouping students, asking lots of questions, encouraging students to speak English as much as possible and arranging the classroom as required. Avoid using students mother tongue even if known, revising constantly and giving homework. Students taught individually have advantages for the teacher like no mixed levels, highly motivated students, defined and a close relationship with the student. The drawbacks are the loss of classroom dynamics and tiredness. Teaching children should be slow.clear, using a high pitch with exaggerated intonation, lots of repetition, reference to students current activity and positive responses. Teaching English to business people involves an increasing amount of the language used for specific purposes. Eg. hotel staff, lawyers, business men and women. They need to learn about introduction, telephone conversations, presentation etc. Needs analysis and planning the course requires written questionnaires to be filled in by both the teacher and the client with client details, past learning experience, priority and specific objectives of the course. There are students of different nationalities in a multi lingual classroom with no common language except English.
