Modern phreakers are very specialized hackers breaking into the phone system of large companies and corporations.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

In this lesson I learned about the phonetic symbols and how to interpret them. I also learned how to explain how words are emphasized and stressed to make a conversation more understandable in relation to feelings. I learned the tone of your voice can mean more beyond what is said. This in depth unit on pronunciation is quite difficult and a thorough understanding of a phonematic table is needed by the teacher and student. The concept is difficult to understand and the message can get lost quite quickly for students. This course is only for advanced students. In this chapter I like the way that it was divided into reading and writing areas. Although both very important, the way they can be taught are very different. I liked the task sheet activities as well as the Web links for different games that could be used to play during a lesson.
