The grammar points of conditionals and reported speech were discussed in unit 16. Conditionals are sentences containing \"if\" or \"when\". They consist of a main clause which depends upon the condition (if). There are 5 conditionals. Zero conditional, First conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditionals. Teaching ideas were also explored, including using split sentences, chain conditionals and role play to name a few. Reported speech and direct speech were also mentioned. The difference between the two is that direct speech is actual, organic speech between persons, whereas reported speech happens when one speaker says what another has said, to someone else.
