Teaching aids can be used to make lessons more interesting, effective, and less dependent on the textbook.
There are number of resources and teaching aids for example white/blackboard, interactive whiteboard, overhead projector, visual aids, worksheets and work cards, cassette recorder, CD player, Videos and DVD, Dictionaries etc. It should be noted that every classroom should have a board of some kind. Boards are used for writing, drawing, sticking things on etc. Many different types of visual aids can be used in the classroom but the most common are real objects, pictures and photos.
As teachers, we need to ensure that we make use of the resources and teaching aids available to us to ensure we make our lessons memorable and interesting.
