This unit is relatively short.The unit is based on training the teacher on the use of the past tense. Just like the prenent tense the past tense is a complicated tense,but the good news is ,with a perfect understanding of the present tense forms,one can easily understand the past tense.History is mostly built on this tense.so to better tell things of the past, a good dommand of this tense is needed. Speakers and learners of English language love stories ,so this tense will always feature in that domain.The main differences in this tense and the present tense forms is in their auxillary verbs and time.From my study of this Unit, I have learned and paid more attention to the methods of teaching this tense and their usages.
