This unit covered some of the left over English grammar points that had not been covered as of late in this course. This includes modal verbs, passive voice, and phrasal verbs. Modal verbs are verbs that apply emphasis, specificity, or necessity to a verb (ie. I have to eat soon. I might sleep soon, I should work out more etc.). The passive voice is used to put emphasis on receiving an action or simply if the thing or person performing the action is not relevant (ie. Amy was eaten by the shark. We were put in danger by those men. etc.). Phrasal verbs showed the difference between intransitive verbs (verbs which have no object) and transitive verbs (which require an object and can be divided into separable and inseparable transitive verbs).
