Conditionals are sentences containing ?if? ?when? which refer to past present and future possibilities. It should be noted that there are two clauses; that is the if clause and main clause. Either of them can come in the first part of a conditional sentence. The ?if? clause contains a condition that has to be satisfied before the action/state in the main clause can be realized. The main clause expresses the consequence. There are five main conditionals and these are as follows; zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional and mixed conditional. As teachers we should be well versed with the form and usage for each of these conditionals so that our job .becomes easy when passing this knowledge to our students. We should adapt ideas on how best to teach our students and avoid any kind of confusion .
