This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

Unit 19 focuses on the different types of classes that you should be prepared to teach as an ESL instructor. These special groups include beginners, individuals, young learners, business English and multilingual/monolingual classes. For each group there are different methods of teaching to consider. For instance, activities that you would do with a class of 12 children would differ from those you would do with an individual adult learner. Furthermore, how you engage with children differs wildly from how you would teach adults. However, one rule of thumb with both adults and children, big classes and individuals, is that the instructor should always speak only English and always encourage the students to speak in only English. Also, consistency and fairness is a top priority for any level or age.
