This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Speaking and writing are productive skills that are both needed to communicate. Writing requires accuracy, whereas speaking requires more fluency. Accuracy activities are usually part of the study phase and help to produce correct language before being expected to use it in a fluency activity. Fluency activities, on the other hand, are usually part of the activate phase and their aim is to allow students to experiment and be creative with the language. The teacher should always encourage interaction and, therefore, create the need and desire to communicate. Games are always enjoyable and useful activities. They provide controlled and free practice material to go over spelling, vocabulary, grammar and so on.
