With this unit, I learned the importance that each part of speech has when making a clear and understandable sentence or expressing our ideas openly. Every sentence can be broken down into parts whether it is as simple as subject or object to more detailed as noun, adjetive, verb, adverb, pronoun or conjunction. It is important to understand what each part of speech means/represents because then we can correctly speak and write the language. This unit's chapter alongside with the unit's video also helped me understand more clearly what are the difference between articles and noun vs. gerund. The general overview of this unit we recognise that the productive skills are both speaking and writing, because learners doing these need to produce language. also known as active skills. They can be compared with the receptive skills of listening and reading. Learners have already spent time practising receptive skills with a shape poem, by listening to it and reading it. They now move on to productive skills by group writing their own, based on the example. Certain activities, such as working with literature and project work, seek to integrate work on both receptive and productive skills.
