In most schools with EFL classes the students are asked to buy a course book for the class. However no every book has the most suitable lessons and activities for the students, for as I have learned in past units the student needs can always vary for each class. Depending to much on a course book may be a disadvantage for both the students and the teacher, for it can make him lazy and eventually to sloppy to prepared and confront different situations that may arise during the class. So, though a course book can be a helpful tool in a EFL class we as teachers should be very careful and know which to use (if we get to pick it) and how to adapt it if necessary.
