Very interesting concept of creating materials versus using prescribed materials. This unit brought into focus, the need for the teacher to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the students in order to provide a stimulating teaching - learning environment. Respectfully, I have one challenge with item #3 which I believe all answers can be applicable depending on creativity and efficiency of the the teacher.This was a helpful unit with determining how to teach my students about vocabulary, grammar, and language function. It gave a lot of helpful tips and ideas for when I am in the different stages of the teaching experience. It gave some good engage, study, and activate ideas. It continued to hammer in the concept of making sure the students are engaged before you take them to the more rigorous parts of the lesson.
