Course books are teachers? life saver. Although not all materials in the book are useful and may also not address specific needs of the students, they, in many ways, provide a balanced mix of activities to develop students? grammar, vocabulary and skills work. They recommend many good ideas to neophyte teachers. It is best, though, that materials from course books be supplemented by carefully chosen authentic and/or created materials.This chapter was very simple and straightforward. It was easy to understand and relate to the information presented. I like to do many activities centered on vocabulary because it's something my students lack and need in order to accomplish writing and oral tasks found in and outside of their textbook. I've realized that a lot of the language introduction we do in our team-teaching speaking lessons mainly consist of the boomerang approach.
