Teaching vocabulary is one of the most challenging role for an ESL educator like me. Planning an engaging lessons based on students level is very important to an engaging and fun class. Whatever the students level, the teacher should create a class where the students can be exposed to the the new words, practice and understand it. By doing so, we can assure that the students can learn something from the topic.In Unit 7: Teaching New Language, I learned a bit more about ESA structures as I had in previous lessons. I also learned about which vocabulary to use with which level of students, and which activities are acceptable to which phase of the lesson: Activate, Engage, or Study. I learned about what students need to know about the vocabulary they are studying, and which information is unimportant to their learning.
