I found this unit to be particularly interesting because it allowed me to reflect upon my own teaching currently. I noticed that the profound impact that the teacher's attitude had on the lesson and on influencing the students to engage in the lesson. I also realized how important and effective using photos to guide students to understand the language. The first lesson, however, truly pointed out the importance of showing students that learning is fun, rather than just about handing out worksheets and expecting them to know what you are talking about. The second lesson revealed the value of having students work together in partners to engage them in the lesson and allow them to feel a sense of success at the start of the class so that they would continue to engage and try their best in the rest of the lesson.
