I have learnt that the Conditional and Reported Speech are a difficult part of the English language and should be taught to students with care and patience. A lot of time should be spent on these areas as they can represent a lot of problems for those learning English. I have realised that this is not an easy topic and should be taught slowly to the students.This unit discussed effective ways to introduce vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions. It is important to present new information to students in a way that students will be able to understand. By consistently utilizing the ESA method, or the boomerang or patchwork method, students' abilities to comprehend new information will get better.
