Similar to the previous unit, this final unit on troubleshooting addressed more of my fears and questions about being a new English teacher. First and foremost, I have been thinking a lot about how I will plan my first lessons especially since I will start teaching in the second half of the school year. The unit provided some helpful suggestions on how to introduce myself to my students and establish rapport with them through activities such as surveys and games. The unit also addressed several issues that I can expect to encounter such as the use of native language, different levels, large classes and reluctant students. While all of these potential obstacles make me nervous, I think that I will be able to overcome them using some of the strategies provided, my own common sense and of course my co-teacher.
