This lesson was an interesting read of the different types of methodologies in teaching English. I especially liked the practical examples of Engage activities given at the end of the lesson. It was a good reminder to incorporate different Engage/Study/Activate sessions in every lesson. I was also reminded on the importance of balancing feedback ? praise and correction are both important aspects of helping a student learn and grow.This was a great chapter because the way in which one manages a classroom has a great effect on whether your class will be a success or not. The first lesson is of greatest importance because you need to make a good impression; it sets the tone for what your classes are going to be like. Students get to know you and your teaching style. I think the best thing is to be yourself and many of the topics in this lesson will come naturally.
